Report from Portland West

Another day at Fraggle Rock, We did not fancy the mud at Bell. First time there for Brian, so a chinwag and a briefing whilst Steve sorted his lines out. It was NNW to start, so no hurry. I felt a change in the air so I launched the others followed but after 30mins it seemed to be dying off, just snuck in back on top followed by Brian and Steve chose the beach. Terry called and said he was nearly there and lucky for Steve Terry picked him up. Back on T,O, it was coming on again so Brian followed by Terry took off and it looked very good. I tootled off home as it was getting dark and Steve retrieved them with from the Beach.

An hour of boating about in the air with pleasant company before it became NNW as predicted.

Report from Ringstead

A lucky day today for us at least. At one point the wind got up to 35mph, yes Pilots were in the air! Big Ears, Spirals and Full Bar a combination of all was put to use just to get down and land safe.

Report frm Jurassic Coast

Well after a 25min flight yesterday before the drizzle came in, at Ringstead. A plan was hatched for an early start at Dereks holiday home at Cogden. Steve S provided the transport and we arrived at 0930Hrs. We took off and enjoyed an hour before landing for lunch. Joined by Paul,Terry, Colin and Curtis (on his spanking new wing) and enjoyed the air again.
There was a fair degree of W in the sky and we tried several times to get over West Bay only Paul got as far as the beach and re-launched to make Eype. All in all a good day and challenging, a great day for Curtis. We could see other Pilots over Thornecombe Beacon and beyond. Same again tomorrow?
