Report from Ringstead

   
A day that provided a small window of opportunity. Sean was first in the air and up to over 1500'amsl when it suddenly picked upand stopped us from taking off, never worth the risk. So we waited patiently to see if it would calm enough, no it didn't until about 2 hrs later and several took off only to find themselves playing miss the helicopter or using "big ears" to get down somewhere safe.

Report from Ringstead

   
We arrived before midday, not enough wind but watched a wind line on the sea slowly approaching Rain was in the West but it passed over Weymouth. Sean showed the way as I thought it would be stronger.
We enjoyed and hour plus going down to Durdle Door and then eastwards to Redcliffe Beach. Then it did strengthen.
Big Ears to and bar to come back to launch, landed with Ears still in , just about managed. An unexpected flight.

Another day at the seaside with all and sundry, and a solitary HG.
While others watched down from on high at Corton Denham.
Dodged the showers but watched overs bomb on the beach so decided not to go and further than the piers at West Bay.

It did not look good but we took a chance. Turned out we had over an hour. Did not venture beyond Freshwater Bay as it felt quite strong and WSW. Nonetheless 4 enjoyed what flying there was to be had.

A very murky day at Eype ( Condors Site). Some made it to Charmouth but a good number playing Dodgems at Thorncombe Beacon. Landed for lunch and it was airtime again with strengthening conditions. Flew Eastwards, with good height over West Bay and beyond. It was conducive to good photography but managed some shots of Derek L and Robin W took one of me taking off at Eype

Report from the Jurassic Coast

   
Who would believe it 2 Sites in a day? Fun & games dodging the Red Ribbons at Thorncombe Beacon, keeping away from the wash of the Tandems.
3 + hrs at Eype. Luckily we missed the rescue. Then on to Ringstead another 2 + hrs and a fine time had by all practising "Big Ears" and Spiralettes.
